A
teenage girl shocks the poker world
by winning one of the most
prestigious events on the planet.
Inspired, millions of new female
players take up the game. The first
part happened. Unfortunately, the
second part didn’t happen (at least
not yet) because most people weren’t
able to witness
Annette
Obrestad’s
historic victory in the 2007
World Series of Poker Europe
main event, since it wasn’t
televised on ESPN. ESPN
is trying to right that wrong
this weekend, as they broadcast the
2008 WSOPE main event for
the first time. They will feature
the young star, now 20, as she tries
to defend her title. The first four
episodes will air on Super Bowl
Sunday, Feb. 1, from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
on ESPN. |

As a
PokerStars Pro Team member and high
stakes online poker player,
Vanessa Rousso's
tournament poker winnings amount to
more than $3,000,000, which places
her in the same league as
Liv Boeree.
Some of her greatest poker successes
worth mentioning: 1st place in the
2009 Pokerstars EPT Monte Carlo
No-Limit High Rollers event, worth
over $1,000,000 , and 2nd place in
the PokerStars WCOOP $2500 buy-in
Main Event, worth $700,000 |

 |
|
With
over 2,100,000 dollars in poker
winnings to her name, this
PokerStars Pro Team member is one of
the most successful female poker
players.
Liv Boeree
is the third woman to ever win an
EPT Main Event (San remo, 2010), a
feat which earned her 1,250,000
Euro. Among her other achievements
one could mention winning Ladbroke's
2008 European Ladies Championships,
which earned her $30,000, as well as
scoring $41,000 in a World Poker
Tour Main Event. |

Other
than regular online $2/$4 cash
games,
Chantel
Mcnulty
enjoys playing
tournaments, which have earned her
over $28,500 so far, a range similar
to that of
Hana Soljan.
Her biggest tournament win, as of
2010, was at the 2007 Mandalay Bay
Championships, where she managed to
secure a 17th place finish in the
No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em
Championship, netting for $17,490. |

Poker Pro
Tiffany Michelle
was
definitely born to entertain. This
talented actress, singer and
songwriter has made her grand entry
into the poker world when she won
close to $350,000 in the 2008 World
Series of Poker $10,000 buy-in Main
Event. She generated a lot of
controversy in the process, though,
and not just because she's good
looking. |

Helen
Chamberlain
enjoys playing cash games and can be
found grinding it out at Titan
Poker. Her greatest success as a
poker pro as of January 2011 was at
the 2005 Poker Million Tournament,
where she placed 2nd in the No-Limit
Hold'em Grand Finals,
netting a whopping $400,000
cash |
 |
 |
 |
|
Her
most noteworthy achievement to date
is placing 1st at the German Open
Poker Stars EPT (2009), which netted
her just a bit over $1,300,000 in
cash. We currently have no
information available regarding
Sandra Naujok's
cash game winnings. We will update
when it becomes available. Her total
tournament earnings are estimated at
$1,840,310, putting her in close
range of
Liv Boeree.
Keep an eye out for Sandra - she's
sponsored by Full Tilt Poker and is
already making great appearances in
the poker scene, so you'll be
hearing about this poker pro quite a
lot. |

Since
then,
Lacey
Jones
received some serious coaching and
started participating in lots of
poker tournaments. Although her
favorite poker game is the 7 card
Razz, most of her winnings come from
Texas Hold'em. Among her most
noteworthy achievements are: a 75th
place finish in the World Series of
Poker 2006 $1k buy-in Ladies Event
for a total of $9,000, and a 24th
place finish in the Borgata Poker
Open (WPT Season 6) for another
$9,000. Her total poker winnings as
of January 2011 are estimated at a
bit over $30,000 |
